Guys, Ranj does about 50k miles a year as he is a locum optician. I think you have a perfect combo as it is.
V8 manual S4 for fun and a nice wafty automatic A8 for the daily commute. The automatic box suits the character of the A8 and is ideal for when stuck in jams. Get your manual fix from the S4, on the daily run you want auto with the miles you do.
If I were you, i'd sell the, both and combine the two. A 4.2 TDi A8 will be faster then the S4, more economical then the LPG A8 as well as more comfortable with more toys. You know it makes sense. A better car one set of MOT, Tax etc...
