Guy - the bloke breaking an S8 the same EXACT spec as mine on ebay has/had both alloy mirrors available still when I last looked. Worth a message to check even if there's no current listing.
Neil - try Stoke Audi for discounted OE parts - usually about 15% off retail which you probably won't better unless you get lucky on a part number search on ebay for some new old stock ones hanging about, like I did with my ABS sensor!
