No, I'm not bannanas. I've done all the sums and worked out I will save a good few hundred every month in fuel costs alone. That is based on the Corsa only doing 45 MPG and the RS 6 doing 20, even thought it only does 17 on my commute and I'm hoping the Corsa will do more. I can still enjoy the RS6, it will just feel even more special when I do. It was never intended to be an everyday car in the first place. It is easy for you guys to go out and buy a second hand four/five year old Audi for the same cost of the Corsa, I'm 21. The insurance will be five times what it is on the Corsa (based on my 320d) and I'm already paying them a lot for the RS6, why would I want to give them even more of my money? Then I would have to add on the cost of the warranty etc... It doesn't work. Sure, I would much rather be in an C6 TDI A6 then a Corsa, but it isn't as simple as that.

The only problem I can see with the Corsa is it is very very underpowered, 0-60 in 18.4 seconds could be dangerous even, but how often does someone really go from 0-60 anyway. May see if I can get a deal on the 1.3 CDTi instead. Anyway, I'll keep you guys updated. But this is happening. Still convinced it is a great idea.
