I take my words back Ian. In terms of electrical systems my project was at least 27 times less complicated since I ended up with only 1 distribution board.
I'm not that obsessed by electrical systems though. I'm obsessed about size of rooms and height of ceilings.
We are now slowly looking for a house to buy and the first problem I faced is that UK houses all have low ceilings. Even houses with big rooms (which are already rare) have low ceilings and that kills that airy feeling of full size house. I don't understand that. Quick search revealed that it is impossible to buy contemporary house with ceilings at least 3 meters high. You can easily buy full size car (A8) in this country, but you cannot buy full size house. Only rare old houses (i.e. victorians) come with high ceilings, but they usually need serious renovation, which I don't want to do second time in my life.
