I'm so buying one of these finally.
(On my third A8, only this time around, It's a 2001 S8.)
My 2004 A8L chirped on lock, and locked when moving, and unlocked when I removed the key, and I liked it, but my first A8 did not do either, and I did not know what to miss.
I just bought the 2001, and I'm trying to get it where I want it, and resolve all the little stuff that bugs me when it's not working right.
Such as cruise control... I'm not sure why it does not work, but I'll find out soon I'm sure.
UPDATE: Did the switch massage/abuse trick, just keep cycling the cruise control switches, and it finally started to work again. I think the car had just sat around too much, and they must have corroded.
