I think it does add to the value IMHO. This now has real 'provenance' as the antique & collectors folk would call it as being a gift at the launch event, rather than just another copy of the book (which mine is  ). If you could research the launch event and find confirmation of dates, venue and attendees, that would make it even better.
I asked myself, if I were to be buying a copy of this book, would I pay more for the autographed version? Yes, I definitely would!
