Interesting that Kent Police don't take action until you are doing 36 mph and then it is the offer of a speed awareness course.

It does state some interesting stuff under which such NIP might be challenged,. e.g. "The site should also be checked with regard to the correct signage, lighting being that which is required for the ‘limit’."
Unfortunately, challenging as opposed to accepting the fixed fine/points, can lead to increased penalties - which amounts to one of the most undemocratic impositions under law. its sort of double or quits.
I really do question whether its better keeping your eye on the road, cars in front, and kids crossing the road .. or watching your speedo. I find (being a fairly new S8 driver) that its so quiet I dont get the noise feedback which often give you a sense of your speed - so you tend to watch the clock. Sorry about your poor end to a good day - hope you get away with it.
