I am suggesting the 0825 ferry Dover to Calais on the Friday for the Southerners and maybe the Northerners should Check out Hull to Zeebrugger. When you look at extra fuel to get to dover and a hotel stay the night before it ain't that dear. We can meet up in Holland. 
To return, the 1955 on Sunday will see you with a bill of £118 atm which includes priority boarding; a must if you want to clear Calais quickly and stake your place in the lounge before the kids get there.
