Here are some A6 TDI gearbox ratios and final drives from ElsaWin.
Looks like gearboxes with codes DQT and FTF would be perfect for a manual conversion, 4.111 final drive, and a 0.56 6th gear already installed. 1st and 2nd gear look to be the same as a S8 DGV gearbox, so no lack of acceleration.
