Angry Thank goodness for Warrantywise!

When I purchased my 2006 s8, I took out a 2 year warranty with Warrantywise just in case. 60000 mile car, checked out well by my Indy and vcds.

2 weeks ago, I lost power assistance. A8parts Dave advised a sequence to investigate, fluid, pipes, seals before the big one, pas pump.

No joy with first 3, so recovered to Slough Audi for investigation. They confirmed pas pump failed and Warrantywise authorized repair. Good job, because like rs4 v8, need to take engine out to change, £3500 job!!!! Pump is beside engine, driven by chains and gears at rear, no belt and has quill shaft going forward to air on pump.

Collecting car on Friday after a week in 3 cyl Polo and week in q5 2.0 tdi. Will be good to have it back!

Thumbs up to Warrantywise, after some slight delays.

If you need to remove engine on v10 s8 or v8 rs4, then slough Audi have one of the only removal frames in this area apparently.

Learning about Audis the hard way after 7 years of reliable BMW 740 and 130,000 miles.
