If only.
There's quite a significant amount of work to do to make the unit electronically fit the '8's. Worst of which is the hooking into the back of the dash into the CANBUS hi and low wires.
However, it's well worth it. The sound is much better than the RNS-D unit, you get the obvious 3D satnave, and you get 2 SD card slots behind the display that can be used for music.
The swap is well documented on the web, so don't be scared off
