The worrying bit I spotted was the line of metal showing through on the right rear roof pillar.

I have worked for a Porsche repair shop in the past and have taken Cat C Boxsters and 996s apart for them to be straightened, sections welded in etc, painted and then I had to put them back together.

Looking at what I have seen with Cat C cars that have been repaired, I wouldn't want to be in one in an accident.

The worst two were a red Boxster S with less than 1,000 miles... the chassis still wasn't straight after and the other was a 996 C4 which had been upside down at high speed - so much so that the metal had worn through both layers!! Another roof was stitched in.

Cat Ds are prob as far as I would go.
