sounds good then, and yes I had not really appreciated the irony in the being near a station/train line in your garden stuff TBH. Your friends situation sounds a bit less clear cut, just hope whatever happens he is happy at the outcome. Remember my first flat many years ago was in spitting distance from the main Glasgow to Edinburgh line and after a few months I hardly noticed the trains going passed, though I do suspect that was somewhat due to the alcohol consumption back then knocking me out most nights, ahh the good old days
