Well, she let me down on Friday night. First time in 5.5 years of ownership.
Cruising on the motorway 50 miles into a 160mile journey, put my foot down to overtake, and EPC (and ABS) light illuminated immediately, and I lost any real power. Car happy to cruise, but would not accelerate. Revs would flare, but no additional drive to wheels. Is that how limp home mode feels?
Pulled over, switched off, lights out again, and OK for a further couple of miles, but then same again.
No error codes found by AA on ECU, now towed back to Amersham Audi. They'll have a look tomorrow morning.
Car has just had full service, and belts, waterpump, thermostat etc.......a coincindence?
So....any ideas? I do have an intermittent ABS sensor problem, but wouldn't expect it to manifest like this. I'm trying not to think the worst.
