Well, I have used Mer Wheel Wax which is easy to apply, long lasting and the sh*t just hoses off. I went for a couple of months having cleaned and waxed the front wheels (always the worst for picking up brake dust etc) but not the rear wheels and the fronts were so much easier to clean. I guess that there are many similar products but it worked for me.
