Cheers for the info guys its going into a mates for him to have a look on Wednesday, I did try cleaning it with electrical cleaner but no joy.
Also when you give it some the traction control light and ABS light come on together and then go off when you let off, only when you really give it some.
The guys at A8 Parts have a Mass flow air meter but its covered nearly the same amount of miles as mine so may just get one from TPS or Smith Knight Fay.
