Yeah David, I bought a heated one and it was as good as new. I actually bought a replacement from eBay first (I hadn't discovered A8 Parts at this time) and paid £10 for it and it was useless. It had connections and was supposed to be heated but it didn't work. Luckily I discovered A8 Parts not long after and bought a real one that works.

Thanks Neil, that's good to know, I'll be making a call tomorrow. The different mirror lens didn't bother me when I had the original body coloured mirrors on but since I switched to S8 aluminium ones the auto dimming one seems to stand out more so I notice they're very different every time I'm in the car now. Hopefully I can get one for a reasonable price.
