I think the reason its apparently still working normally is that I only have the 02084 - Component Protection fault code. Looking at other forums, those with operational issues seem to also have, 02095 - Component Protection Active. I don't have the latter code at all.
Since it seems to be working (have yet to do a long drive), its a low priority issue to me. I have emailed my indy to see if they can take it to Audi when they have the car next week, the dealer is a couple of miles from them. If they cannot then it will wait till I can get some time of work.
Psyche. I dont know how to check the settings for coding. I have the scan from before and after, I'll post below.
