Well, hello mate, I never had a problem with it.
But if the preset function operates column up then gear is fine, so I would start from switch.
Have toy git anybodies a8 owner around you so you could just test their switch??
Couldn't find any online but surely A8 Parts boys will have it.
Are you capable of taking switch out and possibly taking it apart??
More likely a little button which is soldered to pcb has failed.
Spare buttons not that difficult to find so if it's repairable and you are not confident about soldering then you could send that over to me and I will find the button and solder it for you, free
