You have to loosen the bolts on the one side where the diff is located and then without letting the front diff fall out pop the bottom of the cover out so the fluid can drain out.
Or I suppose you could also try to suction it out of the fill plug.

I guess the potential for leaks from disturbing the o-ring is quite high? Is it worth the risk?
