Update!
A long day today, Component Protection was finally removed from my '05 D3 4.2 Quattro, courtesy of Ipswich Audi.
Great service from those guys, and well worth the 220 mile round trip. It's good to have BOSE Surround back, and audio from both channels. They also threw in a set of new license plates, and fitted them too. My rear one was due laminating, and discolored. The rear fitted with the Ipswich Audi snap-lock frame.
