Well, the first thing i did was pull the plug to F125 and inspect it. It all seemed dry and no corrosion. Checked the scuttle drains and cleared out debris (its spring and the car was covered with blossom and pollen and the scuttles were too). There was no build of water in the scuttle but it wasnt flowing as freely as it should so brushed /vacuumed all the crap out till free flowing.
I removed the ECU cover and all was dry and OK in there with the exception of an indication of slight water ingress in the back right hand corner where there was a dirty but dry "smear" . What was noticeable on closer inspection was a tremendous build up of leaf debris at the back where the lugs on the cover engage with the case. There is an "upstand" in that area just perfect for catching debris and trapping it against the joint! Its obviously be doing that for years judging by the white deposits on the plastic. So, carefully vacuumed that up, greased the seal and put the cover back on.

Cleared all codes now and will take the car out soon for a run and then scan again. Hopefully all will be good. Fingers crossed.
