Don't think it will work very well, they were OK on older engines that had fixed EGR duty cycle. Any half modern engine has specified airflow and EGR duty cycle is adjusted dynamically to reach that airflow. So it will just open EGR valve more if desired airflow is not reached and might trigger a fault if it is too much out of spec.
