I can't recommend tyres for a D3, but don't go for noisy ones! The quietness of the '8 will make tyre noise seem even worse and a cheaper tyre will spoil the driving experience. I had Nankangs on my D2 when I bought it and I thought a wheel bearing was going! The joy when I fitted a decent tyre was wonderful. 
I'm about to try Toyos which Marcin (who has a D3) highly recommends
