Default connector?

The switch is bolted to the side of the gearbox. Its only held on by two bolts but they are very easy to strip so has the potential of making this a night mare job in situ ....verging on impossible.....

But from reading the audi pages guide and what the new member said the pins in the connector itself corrode over time. So i m hoping to change just the pins in the connector itself.

From memory i believe the connector itself connects to the engine loom somewhere around the gearbox ....i m just not sure where?....i was hoping someone here would know.
