I have changed them with aftermarket items several times on different Audis, they do not last long. There was earlier version with ball joints instead of bushes on early cars but those have been discontinued and superseded with bush versions. I would prefer older version with ball joints or harder bushes and longer lasting myself. Only thing is making front harder could make car understeer even more so might need to make rear arb bushes harder as well.
