I still have a PCV and have the legal right to drive full size coaches and buses. That is single and double deckers up to 13.5 metres in length. It is known as a "D" license. There is also a "D1" license that allows one to drive minibuses up to 8 passengers.
The law at the moment allows 8 pax minibuses to drive in the third lane (fourth on four lane sections) but does not allow larger buses to do this.
Speed limits are a bit of a strange beast because we are supposedly governed by European Law and as such my bus should be governed at 62mph(100k/h) and I am legally allowed to do this on UK motorways, but British law states I am limited to 60mph on the same roads.
Trucks are limited to 60mph in UK but most companies limit their vehicles to about 67 or less to save fuel costs.
There is a lot of frustration when driving in the UK, as reported earlier in this thread, and as things stand we must learn a little more tolerance. Does it matter that your three hundred mile journey takes ten or twenty minutes longer because the vehicle in front is a little bit slower than you?
I always remind myself that there is always someone behind me that wants to drive a bit faster. Just as when driving a bus there are 70 odd people sat behind me that think they know the job better than me, but after all they are paying good money to sit and watch me perform.

My rant over, I want a 50Thousand Megawatt Laser Ray Gun on the front of my bus.
