My tyres had no feathering and have always work evenly, but I've always found this 8 to be fidgety. I put that down to the lack of tyre wall and abundant tyre width, but when it got more twitchy I gave it a go, and its improved more than the mpg:-)
I'm with you on the good intentions, and for me Its the bellowing exhausts that chuck them out of the window. That noise is Irresistible and addictive. The sound of money burning
