Quick update on the Autoglass farce.

Another fitter turned up yesterday as agreed ...at the end of the three hour time slot. And yes it was raining again
First question was do you have the right part...
Quick look in the van revealed an o/s rear window for an A8 but guess what ...this one was light tint not privacy tint
After we exchanged our thoughts on autoglass and the staff, i asked him, have you done one of these before
No he replied and we dont have the technical information on this car to help !

At this point i bid him fairwell and got straight on the phone to the broker Chris Knott. They arranged for the LV highway people to ring me, sadly i missed the call and I eventually got through to someone who was clearly not interested in my concerns or the fact i have now had two days ruined work time lost etc.

I insisted he escalate this and have yet to hear back from them! I think he was just keen to get off the phone and sod me and my broken window. As i pointed out, you find out how good a firm is when things go wrong, so to date they are pretty sh1te
Audi want £440 inc vat to do the job and i think someone posted on here the part is £360! Its a no brainer to me. But if i dont use their repairers they pay £100 only. At this rate i might just do that and stick them with a claim for compensation loss of earnings etc..although i suspect i would have a battle on my hands and frankly i am against the compo culture in the main.

I will update as things progress
Cheers Glyn
