Thanks Lads

Just sent my insurers a formal complaint.
They rang me back five minutes ago to say they are going to ring round the windscreen fitters they use and find one that's familiar with an Audi A8 side glass!!!
They have an arrangement with the companies and they are contractually obliged to use them! Even though they cant bring the right part and admit they have no idea how to repair the glass for me!
I have told him I will be invoicing them for my time and any damage my car incurs as a result of the broken glass and the incompetent fitters.
He said he would ring me back after he had followed his procedure!
If I treated clients like this I would be out of business...period, if we have an issue we put it right for the client and worry about resolving the cause or fault afterwards !
These recommended deals really worry me god knows what they would do if I had to have repairs to the body! As we all know there are body shops and then there are good body shops!
I refused to used AXA's Swiftcover as they have a clause in allowing them to use recycled parts on repairs!
Anyway I'll let you know the latest when they come back to me with their well thought out solution
