Thanks MA8tey - My wife has a Q7 with the paddles and i use them a lot (its a heavy beast).
My 8's been remapped so its more responsive than standard, but i still prefer to be in the right gear (or at least have some control of gears) rather than relying on the torque in higher gears to pull me along
