Default Part numbers for engine & transmission mounts

Hi. I think I might need to replace my 2x engine mounts. I found the following part numbers which correspond to my PR code of 8Z5;
• Engine mount left (8Z5) 4G0199381CD
• Engine mount right (8Z5) 4H0199382CD

However, there are also electric versions of these;
• Engine mount left electric 4G0199381CC
• Engine mount right electric 4G0199381CC

How do I know if I have electric ones? (I THINK I might do but how to check?)

I found Gearbox Mounts on diagram 399-070 or 399-090 (I can't tell what the difference is), likely "Bonded Rubber Bush" PR code TV9 8K0399151CM and 4H0399151AT.
There's a third gearbox bush which is 4H0399152 AT or BC but these seem to have a date from 2016 onwards, mine is a 2015, so where do I stand with these?

Also, the terminology is sometimes a bit weird and I can't find details for Propshaft Mounts as it would be worth checking them too.

The first question is why you want to change them?

The engine monts are very likely to be 'electrical', check if there is a plug on them. In these the electrical valves usually fail but it's really not noticeable. Not specific to your car but if you have excess engine movement, it's usually the front torque mount that's failed not the side mounts. For propshaft, again not specific to your car but usually for Audi you cannot buy propshaft mount on it's own, only complete balanced propshaft as single unit, as it needs to be taken apart to change the mount and cannot be guaranteed to be in balance after re-assembly. For some models like Q7 there are after market split mounts available.

4H0199382CD is correct for the right side. The left side is 4H0199381CD (typo on yours).

The 4G0 codes are for an Audi A6.

399-090 is for the armoured version, but those specific part numbers are the same. 8K0399151CM is fine for the rear. 4H0399151AT is for the left side of the transmission and 4H0399152AT is for the right side. This is the original one for your car, but you can use the 4H0399152BC, as that is the superseded part. With reference to the date, the AT is on cars up to 14/11/2016 and BC after that.

As ainarssems pointed out, you can't get the propshaft mount, but I've seen aftermarket one mentioned.

I have a problem with the car lurching which could very well be mechanical links to the drivetrain. I've already changed suspension arms and either engine, gearbox, or other drive component mountings feel likely.

That makes sense. Just had a look at D4 diagrams and they got rid of the front torque mount that was used on D3 and D2 so it's probably harder on side mounts without the front mount. And smaller defect on side mounts could show larger impact without front mount. Ideally would get it on 4 post lift, 1 person in car hard on brake, in gear, give it some gas, 2nd person check the mounts under car for excessive movement. Do it in both drive and reverse.

It may be worth paying attention to the right side transmission mount (4H0399152AT) when doing these tests, as that is the only mount that has a superseded part of the five mounts.

Thanks for confirming.

How come the "electric" 4G0 codes, you say for an A6, are listed even though I selected my 2015 A8?

[EDIT] Oh, thanks the details about the updated right side gearbox mount ending 152BC, you think that should be used instead of 152AT possibly because there was a flaw with the original part which they then re-designed?

Are we talking about ETKA? If so, no idea as I can only see 4H0s under the 2015 A8.

As for the mount AT or BC, considering that of the five mounts, that is the only one to have a revised part, it seems sensible to go for the BC one.

It'll be interesting to hear of the results of your tests on them all, including visual inspection, as suggested by ainarssems.
