Replaced Central locking pump, problems coding remote opening

Hi.

As my pump died earlier this year i finally got round to look for a replacement.

The part no for the pump in my car was 8l0 862 257G. Since they are hard to come by here in Norway i managed to find one from an Audi A3 that has
8l0 862 257L. According to Etka the G is the replacement for L so i had hoped this would work smoothly.

I have recoded the L pump to the same coding as the G pump had, i have tried the Ross-Tech Wiki for recoding keys without any luck. According to VCDS there is no keys coded at the moment after the new pump went in.

The strange thing is that the Alarm is not present a all, even when locking the car manually it wont turn on as it did with the ruined pump still connected.

Wondering if the L is not workable on the S8 D2 or is there something i'm missing?
