Have Audi lost the plot ?

my friend john recently bought an audi A8 D4 (ive mentioned this before)
all singing all dancing with extras really nice
the keyless entry and start Stopped Working

so he took it into doncaster audi to be sorted
under warranty
they rang him today and said.............

oh our audi technician has looked at your car and found that the keyless entry and start doesnt work because it did not come with this option from new

I've heard a rumour taht the deal for VAG to buy red bull racing includes free supplies of their drink for all technicians...sounds like one is on it already !
