MMI 2G Advice please
Some of you may have noticed Connor's thread on the new addition. It's running MMI 2G vers 5140 and I can't seem to connect my phone to it via Bluetooth. I have even read the manual
 , and checked the Audi compatibility list for car and phone, both of which are on the list. The problem is the phone doesn't find the Audi Bluetooth when I scan for it. Tried it with both an HTC and Samsung handset, neither of them works. Hoping some of you MMI gurus can help pleasecheers

2 questions come to mind,
1) When you press Tel on the MMI, does it come up with the Tel screen implying the module is present and working ? 2) Anything on VCDS ? From 2007 the Bluetooth modules were pretty solid, so should give you decent handsfree is nothing else

Oh, and the visibility is limited by default. Its only visible for a short while then vanishes to stop you meddling whilst driving....
Try it with ignition freshly on, and parked up

Also check under telephone, then settings, then Bluetooth should come up as a soft key option. Bluetooth may be switched off or made invisible

Thanks guys, was aware of the need to do it quickly as poss after switch on, attached a couple of phone pics of what I get, dont have access to VCDS here, on hols in lakes, should be able to get it scanned when I get home though.
