No abs or esp light at all

When you engage contact everything lights up and says OK only abs light and triangle for esp.those 2 wont light at all.
So i accessed the unit with vag and ut gives 2 codes.
One 00301 abs return pump (which i will repair next weekend) and 001486 which can be sorted after the first error is removed.
But i am confused
Why no beeps or abs and esp errors on start or while driving???
Definately no abs or esp works(tires slip on start and no abs when braking)
Also when i press the esp disable button in the dash nothing happenes.
So any ideas?
