Hi folks, I've just completed the valve cover gaskets and put it all back together and I'm now experiencing a very rough idle that lasts about 15sec just when the auxiliary air pump stops and the rpm starts to drop to normal idle. After the 15 sec the engine us smooth as silk. If the engine is already hot then all is fine. This problem was not their previously. Any ideas in what I should be checking for?
All pipes connectors and linkages appear to be in place. Thanks and kind regards,

Hi Badderle,
I had something similar on my S8 v10. Mine was caused by a small air leak from one of the pipes at the back ( the fat braided one passenger side at the back. Replacing it gave me a smooth fast idle until aux air/fuel supposed after 15 seconds. Expensive hose around £90 from memory at stealer prices. My car is Also 2006 S8 v10 with 165,000 miles on it. Good luck Richard
