Default One Touch memory seats...

Did you know the memory seats in D2s are 'one touch'?!

I was standing next to my car the other day and pressed the button on the door, with that the seat went all the way to another memory position. walked around to the passenger side and opened the door, pressed the button and that one went all the way to another memory too!

Shut the doors and it doesnt work. I guess its a safety thing for when your driving. Didnt know that, ive been sitting there with my finger on the button all this time!

Who else didnt realise the memory seats where one touch operation with the doors open?

I did .. you can assign your memory to the key as well as the button. it's in the manual somewhere..

Do yours not work at all with the doors closed?

It sets the memory when you open the door.. I guess it's that you may be in and out the boot a couple of times, so saves power on the system by not doing the move until you open the door.

If you are out the car ie it 'sees' the door open then it will one touch the seat to the saved position.

With the door shut then you could press the wrong button and become impaled on the steering wheel if you chose a midget's position by mistake so it needs the button continuously pressed.

Audi think from all angles!
