2002 Audi A8 2.8 Quattro Sport for sale

After much soul searching I've decided to sell my near immaculate 2002 Audi A8 Quattro Sport. One of the last D2 models, originally on a 52 plate. Aqua blue (Code LY5X) with black half leather half Alcantara interior and dark wood trim. Only done 105,000 miles – backed up by all the past MOT certificates, plus full service history.

This was sold to me as a Final Edition, although I think Audi only applied that to the final run of S8s and this is only the 2.8 litre V6. Notwithstanding, it does have a lot of the bells and whistles which were associated with the Final Edition, including:

• 20 inch alloys
• Xenon headlamps
• Recaro style sports seats
• Leather and Alcantara interior
• Bose audio system – which now includes an Aux input

I’ve owned the car since August 2016 and during my ownership it has wanted for nothing. I have every receipt for all parts and work I’ve had carried out, which in the last two thousand miles has included the following:

• Timing belt, tensioners and water pump replaced by Autohaus Edinburgh
• Gearbox service
• 2 * catalytic converters plus new lamda sensors
• Wheels refurbished
• 4 * matching Uniroyal Rainsport Tyres all with 6-7mm tread remaining
• Front suspension rebuilt / replaced
• Front & rear brake calipers replaced / reconditioned
• New fuel injectors
• New plug leads
• New ignition coil
• New spark plugs
• Fully serviced – fully synthetic oil, plus filter (March 2024). Air and fuel filters replaced
• Rocker cover gaskets replaced

The bodywork is in superb condition throughout with only a couple of minor stone chips and a small scratch on the rear panel – although all are hardly noticeable. The bumpers would benefit from some paint, but are still very presentable, as seen in pictures. There’s a very small stone chip on the windscreen but small enough not to be an MOT issue. The interior is immaculate with no rips or tears. Slight pixelation on the central information screen. I’m a non-smoker so no nasty smells or staining.

MOT runs until October 2024. HPI clear.

I’m a mature (retired) owner with three other cars and this one is just not being used enough hence the sale. I’ve only done 200 miles since the last MOT in October 2023, so it’s time to let it go to someone else who will cherish it and use it more.

With its near Final Edition spec and overall condition, it’s a rare find these days. There are very few left in this condition and spec, and I genuinely believe that you will not be disappointed.

Oh..and where was the gearbox serviced? Mackies, or somewhere else?

Thanks. I had to Google GLWTS ....
The gearbox was serviced at Automotive Automatics off Leith Walk in Edinburgh, although I don't think they are there any longer.
My other cars are a 2017 Mini Cooper S; a 2002 VW Golf TDI (PD 130) which is absolutely mint; and a 2008 Mercedes 350 SL.
