VCDS Diagnostic Error - Which Side

Guys,

Appreciate that this may seem like a complete n00b question, but I can never remember...

When VCDS reports that it's 'rear right' that's got a problem.. does that mean from the point of view of the driver, or someone looking from the front of the car?

Bloody dash lit up like a christmas tree and was beeping like a cheap 90's rave... turns out it's just a bloody ABS sensor by the looks of it, but ACC, Headlights, Handbrake, and all manner of other things went spare as a result.
