Default GSF bargain

I just thought I would share the good fortune I had yesterday, so hopefully some of you might benefit.

I'm going to Edersee and the Nurburgring on Friday and based on our previous experiences I thought it desirable to take a spare set of front brakes with me. I ordered the discs and pads from GSF and was told that the discs would be £65 each. At £65 each, I wasn't expecting much above a cheap but usable set of brake discs.

I turned up at the counter yesterday and was presented with Brembo OE discs, complete with the Audi parts numbers on the box. That at first led me to question the price I was originally quoted, but they confirmed that it was correct, obviously there was VAT to add. So for £78 each you can buy OE discs from GSF. That's 25% cheaper than the Audi dealer price for those of you who need some 345mm front brakes.

So those are the discs to go with Brembo calipers on late cars? Sounds very good value as mine were replaced before I bought the car with parts quoted at about £120 each +VAT!

Just had all the brakes replaced on my A6 and the parts were supplied by Murray's Direct at a cost of £210 delivered - front discs also Brembo, rears Zimmerman, pads all Febi Bilstein. Not priced up S8 bits but worth a look too - they only seem to stock decent quality parts

Quite happy with that - £85 to fit and job's a good 'un
