Depends on the rest of the interior spec as to what has likely happened with it. The only reasons I can think of for putting non sports seats in an S8 after manufacture would be damage to the original seats, or theft of the original seats, and no suitable replacements in the right colour. Zip (i think) fitted Comfort seats instead of his sports seats, the comfort seats are genuinely more comfy - The standard ones with vertical stitching are not imo...
