Default Tyre pressure for standard 2001 S8

I've looked in the book, I've looked inside the petrol filler flap (no stickers ) I've even tried the 'Use the SEARCH Luke' function on the forum...

I've looked on the net with the reg number and I get various tyre pressures as well as various tyre sizes!!

What should I be running on my stock 245/45/18s?

Thanks

MG

My flap says 32psi, 42psi when fully loaded.

Yes, all round. That's for 245/45/18 Avus wheels on a PF S8.

Though when I went to Le Mans, seriously overloaded with big blokes and camping gear, I only put 42 in the rears and about 36 in the fronts.

Ok that's great thanks.

I'm surprised that they suggest putting all 4 tyres up to 42psi when fully loaded!

Most of the websites were suggesting that I should be running 245/40/18s... I was starting to wonder if I was going mad!

Have just put my summer tyres on

Thanks David,

Could someone give me the part numbers from the stickers that I should have in the filler flap so that I can order them from Audi please?

Then I won't be wondering again!

Or... a photo of them would do for now.

Thanks

MG

I find it varied between 34 and 38 depending on the tyres I ran, some were noisier at lower pressures.

Here you go, been meaning to do this for a while.
You can probably just read the range of tyre sizes too.

Thanks all.

I'm running Bridgestone Potenza RE050A 245-45-18s. They're set at 32psi now. I can hear them more than I was expecting. I don't want to over inflate them and have the centre of the tread wear out prematurely.
