Anyone recall a thread with pics of cut-open back boxes?

There was a thread in D2 or D3 where one gent had "loudered" his exhaust by cutting the boxes in half and removing the fluffy stuff (mineral wool? Fibreglass?). He took pictures of the internal structure of the things. Another inventive individual comes along and cuts a "V"-shaped hole in each of his boxes to form a flap - with them still mounted on the car - and, using a coat hanger, fishing out the fluff, then welding the flap back tight. I cannot find that thread, and I hoped someone would recall it.

Would be good to know of a way of "improving" the V8-ness of the sound without having a modified / replacement exhaust to declare to one's insurance company.

If you don't tell 'em you risk the insurance being void.
