Default Testimony to the 8

Horrendous accident and the Driver has Minor Injuries .....

KINROOI - The Weertersteenweg in Molenbeersel Wednesday was the scene of an accident hallucinating.
A motorist was crawling with minor injuries from a car which nothing remained quite.
The battery then it soared to local residents through the window.

Wow! - looks more like an explosion than a car crash. Astonishing that anyone survived.

This is interesting, why do Audis often break into two parts when they crash severely, rather than crushing into a lump like a steel car?
This only seems to happen to blue ones though.

I found location of that crash in Goodle Street View.

Goto: maps.google.com
Enter address: 444 Weertersteenweg, Kinrooi, Vlaams Gewest, Belgium

You can even see window the battery has flown into.

Isn't it beautiful: you have your cream tea, relaxing, contemplating about your A8, and all of a sudden some A8 parts are landing on your table including highly desired 110ah battery! This definitely doesn't happen every day

A low spec, PreFace A8 with a mint condition S8 badge on a somehow undamaged bootlid, some bodywork issues and a set of coilovers which in this case dont seem to have helped his handling much......

Cant see it be worth much....

From what I've seen in the past, trees are the worst things to run into, they just seem to tear through cars. Hitting a massive truck seems to be more forgiving.

Goran, I don't think that's the other car involved - looks like part of the A8 in the street, that ended up on the lawn.

It was on a Polish plate.

2003 D2 FL S8. Irish Green Pearl/Beige. Solar sunroof, auto-dim mirrors, electric rear seat functions and extended leather. Ski hatch retrofit. Aftermarket reversing camera. DVB-T and XCarlink now removed as redundant.
2016 Volvo V40 T5 Cross Country (4WD) with ALL the toys including adaptive cruise etc. etc. Osmium Grey with Blonde/Charcoal leather interior. Polestar performance "optimisation". (Even rarer than a D2 S8!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one!
Finally: gone, but not forgotten.....
1998 D2 PF S8. Agate Grey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, Tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors.
e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)
1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon. Added Auto-dim mirror, Leather seats, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer.
And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!
