Due to overseas contract work I am making a decision to sell my S8.
Definitely not an easy decision and one that I will surely regret in the future. It's been a daily driver for my motorway commute for the past two and half years and I have never enjoyed driving 57,000 miles more than I have in this car, however, I don't want to dwell on how much I am going to miss it. I just need the opinions of the knowledgeable Forum to arrive at a fair sale price! VEHICLE DETAILS; 2001 S8 Fern Green, leather/alcantara, heated front seats, registered as alternative fuel car with certificated BRC LPG system fitted Feb 12-wheelwell tank will take 70+ltr giving 300 mile range on a run. Private plate not included. 12 month tax, MOT until Oct but will MOT prior to any sale, 152,000miles. Work carried out over the past two and half years includes; Replacement of :- Fuel Tank/Fuel Pump Aug 14 Crank position sensor Aug 14 Air Mass meter Jun 14 Front lower suspension arms Jun 14 NSF top suspension arm/hub assembly Oct 13 Brake Disks/pads plus rear calipers Oct 13 A/C condenser Jun 13 Timing belt kit, water pump and T/stat (127k) Jun 13 PCV Valve Aug 13 O/S/F wheel bearing Mar 13 ABS modulator pressure sensor Dec 12 Gear box rear oil seal Mar 12 Gear box oil changed @ 124k & 146k Spark plugs (NGK LPG-1) Oct 13 Tyres replaced Dec 13 As everybody knows you need deep pockets to run these fabulous cars and obviously all receipts are available. On the negative I have been meaning to get the wheels refurbished and the engine uses oil. Approx 1 ltr per 600 miles. However, I found this to be the case shortly after I bought the car and it hasn't really changed, I found it easy to live with. Emissions are all ok and engine is rock steady at idle and as smooth as you would expect. I was given some spares and old receipts by the previous owner and found that that included a set of valve stem seals ![]() Hopefully a set of pictures will accompany this post! |
