As I have the drivers knee panel off at the moment my OBD socket is tucked away near the bonnet release, but today I decided to run a VCDS scan.
Pulling out the connector I noticed one of the wires didn't look right. ![]() The blue/black wire had a short section of insulation missing about 4cm from the connector and before the covering tape that wraps the rest of the bundle together. No sign of compression, such as from a permanent connection there, so maybe it was for testing something? Anyone know what that wire is for? I'm obviously going to tidy it up as it's bending easily so could break or short out. ![]()
