Default MMI Problem

Hi, been lurking on here a while, this is my first post. I've recently bought a 2004 4 litre TDI, all electrics and mmi had been working until the module that controls the electric window switches in the drivers door packed in. Replaced the module but now there's no power going to the mmi and centre console. Any suggestions as to what's wrong? I understand it's a bit of a broad question and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Check the fuses, they are in at least 4 places, driver and passenger end-caps of dash and left and right cover in the luggage compartment. Maybe more I don't know of.

Don't think there's anything in the doors that would stop the MMI, but then again.. Certainly no MOST loop stuff.

Yes I went for a one hundred mile drive in it since this happened. Still the same. I have it in with a mechanic now to try get to the route of the problem.

Right so we seem to have gotten to the route of the problem. I had the car booked into my local Audi dealership for a service and full diagnostic check up. After investigating the problem it turns out that someone had spilled liquid on the centre console at some point but it didn't stop working until the electric window switch in the door went.

Pricing the new part from Audi themselves initially turned out to be very expensive, 1014 euro for the part alone. But because the car has a full Audi service history Audi run a fair deal service for loyal customers and can offer me a huge discount on the part and fitting. With the discount it only runs to 480 euro including fitting, which I was very impressed by and told them to order the part immediately.

Also as I got them to service the car they also give me a years breakdown cover and a years warranty on the car itself. Needless to say I will be using them to service the car from now on as the breakdown cover and warranty will be extended with next years service too.

All in all I was very impressed with the service they offered and the cost of the work done.
