Default The summer look

High Guys, just showing of the 8 in its summer clothing:-)

Dark tinted rear lights with 2 red stripes(made it myself)

My original 10 spoke parallel design 20'' rims fitted with Alloygators - they are hardly noticeable - I can recommend them to anyone who wants to avoid scuff marks

Picture of Alloygators about 2-3 mm further out than the rim edge.

Does she really look 19? :-)

Mind you the rims is for the new A8 with same tire mount, so it does stand up a little more(like a Carriage) but it rides like on a cloud(with bumps when the road is bad)

Cheers, Jake

Question

Friend up the road has alloygators on his new Jag XJ...he's gone for black gators on dark 20" wheels. Have to say I'm very impressed, and very tempted. He says he has put them on his entire company fleet (get's the, for £60 a set).

Thoughts?

looking good
not sure about the rear lights - can we see a pic with them lit? I think I would have put more stripes and my OCD would have had to have had them central and even from the middle of the lens!!

Ill see if I can get a night shot this evening, but the whole light still lights up... Its just a black tint(if it was only the lines that lit up, I would be pulled over by the cops before even starting the car:-) )

Regarding Alloygators...
I paid £70, postage is £14 to Denmark but found some 10 %discount, believe it was "TESLA10"

Fitting was time consuming, but mostly because I had to inflate the tires with a bicycle pump:-) tires has to be completly deflated, but other than that they are pretty easy to install. Alloygators had a picture of the same wheels I have(fitted on the new A8 ofcourse) so I knew that they could be fitted.

So I will wait with praising them 100%(as they have only been fitted saturday) until I can see if they make it a problem keeping the air in the tires. But looks wise they do not take anything away I think, and just knowing they are more protected is a comfort in itself:-)

Granted it looks better un-lit:-) but at least it stands out... I am sure that no one else spots these in the whole of Denmark(there being max 100 D2's here anyway)

I have a set of standard lights, so once it gets boring I can change back
