Rubber Cleaner - Seals

What do you guys use on your rubber bits and bobs such as seals?

My rear door seals had gone a bit sqeaky (on realy rough road), so i gave them a quick clean which has stopped it 70%, just wondering what the best thing for rubber seals to clean and treat them was?

Its a common problem on A4s too, and someone was rating some american stuff that is silicon based i beleive and you apply it like the shoe polish with the foam aplicator mounted on the bottle, cant i find the thread or product? no!
